ELEXON is the Balancing and Settlement Code Company (BSCCo) defined and created by the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC or 'the Code'). Licensed electricity companies are obliged to sign the Code. It is possible for other parties to sign up to the code also should they wish to do so. ELEXON have certain obligations placed on them. Their main obligation however, is to ensure that participants in the market operate in compliance with the Code.
